T2 – for professional use

On the following pages, T2 users as well as participants who are preparing for future participation in T2 will find useful and further information. Amongst other services, these pages contain the main documentation and provide access to the relevant registration forms for new participants. If you have any questions, please contact your customer service team or the National Service Desk for TARGET Services. Contact details can be found in the right-hand column.

Forms for participation in T2

Once you have completed the registration form and signed it with legally binding effect, please send the original to your customer service team. The address and contact details in case of further questions can be found in the right-hand column.
As a rule, we accept new participants for T2 at the beginning of a minimum reserve period; for T2S and TIPS, by arrangement.
Depending on the complexity and whether it is necessary to involve any other central banks or ancillary systems, we require the original forms, signed with legally binding effect, up to one month before participation in the production environment can begin. Please contact us in good time so that we can advise you on your own individual situation. Forms and a guideline concerning the provision of relevant data can be found by following the link below.

Functional documents

There are various documents available describing the structure and functioning of T2. There are for example the Information Guide for TARGET participants, the User Requirements Document, the User Detailed Functional Specifications, the User Handbooks or our Starting Guide which shall ease the first steps for new participants. These documents and even more can be found in this area.

Customer testing

In this area all documents relevant for customer testing can be found. There are for example documents containing the T2 Mandatory Test Cases, the TARGET Services User Testing Calendar or the User Testing Terms of Reference.

T2 release planning

In T2 there are two regular releases scheduled per year – one on the second weekend of June and one on the third weekend of November. The dates are synchronised with the releases in T2S (June and November). The respective release notes for the production and test environment can be found here.
