The EBA’s Interactive Single Rulebook, which is already in place for other legal bases, was recently expanded to include the EBA’s final technical standards and guidelines in connection with the Payment Services Directive (PSD2). Searching on the EBA’s website has been designed to be interactive. Users can now also read the Payment Services Directive on a section-by-section basis, check for relevant regulatory technical standards and guidelines and access them from the EBA’s website directly.

At the same time, the EBA's Q&A tool has been extended to include questions from the market and responses from the EBA regarding the Payment Services Directive – an enhancement which had already been expected by market participants. The aim is to support the uniform application of the EU regulatory framework for the banking sector and to close the remaining gaps in its application. The ongoing process of preparing the EBA's responses will occur interactively with the European Commission to ensure that the responses in the Q&A tool are fully consistent with EU legislation.
