Katja Hofmann Head of section and advisor for monetary policy implementation

Katja joined the Centre for International Central Bank Dialogue (CIC) in 2021 as head of section and advisor for monetary policy implementation. At the CIC, Katja is responsible for all bilateral activities and international courses on monetary policy implementation, including “Monetary policy implementation”, “Monetary policy implementation - greening the financial system”, “Monetary policy implementation - market intelligence” and “Monetary policy implementation - collateral frameworks”.

Katja entered Deutsche Bundesbank in 2004. She started to work in the Banking and Financial Supervision department as a senior expert. Her focus was especially on securitisation. As such Katja was a member of working groups of the Basel Committee as well as European Banking Authority. Katja also worked in the Markets Department of Deutsche Bundesbank and in the Risk Management of the European Central Bank before joining the Centre for International Central Bank Dialogue. Before Deutsche Bundesbank Katja worked six years in the private banking industry. She holds a degree in business administration of Universität Leipzig.
